13 months

Baby Grace is 13 months today! This little girl is so much fun, in celebration of this day, I took her to Build A Bear for the first time and she got a pupppy that makes barking sound. We named it Ruff Ruff because that is Grace's dog sound that she makes (she LOVES dogs) Grace is the social butterfly of the family, she waves at every stranger she sees and blows kisses and carries a telephone with her...girls are so much fun, LOVE HER!

The Hogs had their first game of the season this past weekend and I was able to attend. Mom kept the kiddos while I was gone and we snapped this picture of everyone in their hog colors :)

Christian starts football this year! He had his first practice today (in over 100 degree weather). Right now they are just learning the basics of the game. I realllly hope that he does not lose interest in it! Football tends to be an expensive sport to play...so hopefully we can get atleast 2 years in just to feel better about the cost..haha.
It will be fun and nerve reacking to watch him play games. Due to the team size (4th grade) the boys will be playing offensive and defense...PRAYING that he is safe during this!!!

So far he is really excited, even after the first practice!! :)

NINE ?? Really??!!!

My baby is NINE years old today. - seems like only yesterday he was turning 1! Christian has turned into this amazing young man. God has blessed us!!!
It is so fun to watch Christian grow, and learn. He is a wonderful BIG brother to both Joshua and Grace. Joshua adores him, looking up to him in every way. And Grace has a sweet spot for her big brother too! Watching Christian with Grace is such a joy...it makes MotherHood a little sweeter just to watch them together. I love that my children are friends, I pray they continue to stay that way!
We pray that Christian will follow God's plan, and that he will grow to have a huge heart for our Lord. We know God has great things in store for Christian Malachi Burt...we are excited to see what's in store!

SDC fun

We are one of the crazy families that brave the heat to get our roller coaster fix. We have been to Silver Dollar City several times this summer, and it never gets old. The kids LOVE the rides (and so do Ryan and I) Matter of fact, Joshua and Christian ride a coaster that I really DONT like, it's just too extreme for me! (they are so brave) Grace is still way to small for the fun of SDC but they do offer a few things for babies/toddlers to keep them entertained. Grace really enjoys staying cool at Geyser Gulch, which a is big water works place in SDC. - We usually strip her down so we don't have to deal with wet clothes :)
We will miss being able to visit SDC so much...school is quickly approaching, I as a parent admit..... School is a drag..haha.

Summer H-E-A-T

This summer has been BRUTAL. Temps reaching well over 100, and never cooling down. We don't even get a break at night. The kids are doing well though, they are good at finding just the perfect things to do to stay cool :) Love.these.kids.

11 mths calls for new things!

Today I gave Grace her first sippy of cows milk...she questioned my judgement the whole time (just look at her face!) The Doctor said to go ahead and mix formula half and half..and wean her off...so here we go! (yeah for saving LOTS of money!!)

Grace Clare 11 months old

Grace took her first set of steps today...she is getting SO big, too fast. Her vocab includes, Bye-Bye, Dada, Momma, Bubba and uug-oh. She is a joy, such a little Diva in the making :)

Girls Day Out

Me and Grace had our first Pedicure!! (it was both our 1st!) Even though she is little and will never remember this, it was so special, and so FUN to get to do something like this...many more ahead!!!

Silver Dollar City

We FINALLY bought season passes to SDC this summer...so we used them for the first time this last Friday. Joshua rode his FIRST big roller coaster, but did not like it :) And mister Christian is our dare-devil of the family, he will ride ANYTHING, and loves it all. Grace did really well considering that most of the time she was in the stroller. She was able to ride 2 rides (which she really didn't act that excited about). Our day was cut kinda short (due to us being late getting there) or we would have taken her on the train (maybe she would liked that?)
Many more trips back planned for this summer!! THE BOYS ARE SOOOO EXCITED!

Finally a Snagle-Tooth

Joshua lost his FIRST tooth this week, and he is so excited. It's hard being the little brother because you just sit and wait for things to happen (that you've seen happen to your bigger brother) Joshua now has the sweetest snagle-tooth smile ever...love this boy!

BIG girl Grace

Grace has moved on up into a Big girl carset. Grace is only 20lbs but is super tall like her big brother and just was way to big for her infant car seat! Grace LOVES her new seat, and ofcourse, seeing what's coming instead of what she just passed! haha!

VBS

The kids had VBX (Vacation Bible Extreme) at Church last week, they had a BLAST! So glad to be part of church that LOVES kids!

Summer Fun!

We have been doing ALOT of swimming this summer!! All the kids love the water, and I enjoy the sun!

Ryan's birthday and Father's Day

Ryan is 33! Can't hardly believe it! Sad thing about that is...Im next! My family was gracious this year and bought us a new TV for his bday (and other holiday's)!! We are so blessed with their generosity.
For Father's Day we went to Mimow and Papow's house for lunch after church (that is where the above picture was taken). Lunch was amazing as usual, and just being together as a family was the best part. We def have a lot of amazing Father's in the family to celebrate!

Football Camp

Christian is gearing up for his first year of football (this fall) and he is excited! Christian went to the University of Arkansas football camp this week and did a great job learning and playing. The camp was really cool because it let us have all access to the Universities facilities and even the stadium. It was COOL to stand on the field and look UP into the bleachers!! The stadium def looks bigger from the field! We really enjoyed it, and he def wants to do it again next summer!!

The Natural's Baseball Clinic

The boys got to attend a clinic this past Sunday at the Natural's ballpark. It was hosted by the Natural's (the players actually did all the coaching).
The boys really enjoyed it other than it just being dreadfully hot.
We stayed for the game that night too, and we had a blast :)
Grace enjoyed the whole night, we let her walk around a little while the boys were on the field, she thought that was pretty fun :)

Christian's Football Camp

So...Our computer got a virus and I lost almost all of my pics, so I have none of Christian's football camp, but he had a blast and is looking forward to 4th grade football which will start this fall. Christian is attending the University of Arkansas Football Camp on the 15th of this month and he is pretty excited about it (so are we). We will post pics!

Joshua's Football Camp

This week Joshua went to Shiloh's Football camp. He was so excited because last year he wasn't old enough so he had to sit and watch Christian. (as usual) Joshua has really suprised me with his athletic ability (not that I doubted him...I was just shocked to see him be soo good at such a young age) This little boys eximplifies the work "hustle". He tries his hardest and is very aggressive!
I am glad that Joshua and Christian did not share a week of football camp because it was nice to give Joshua a little "extra" attention :) Christian's camp is next week, and he is beyond excited....pics to come :)

Self Feeding. That's what we are learning. Grace is working on her top two teeth (they are almost all the way in) and has been doing a great job of "chewing". We have started giving her little snacks like Gerber Yogurt Melts, ect. She does a great job of picking them up, putting them in her mouth and chewing them. The first couple of times, she tried to swallow them whole, but she learned quickly that she had to use those hard things in her mouth :)

Being a Mom

I have had the great blessing to celebrate my 8th Mother's day. 8 Marvelous years of tiny little blessings from my little angels. I honestly can't imagine my life without my kids, they have changed my life, my heart, my way of living....and all for the best. I enjoy each year with them, watching them grow and learn and try new things. So grateful...so thankful, so hubbled that God has entrusted me with their lives. I pray that I raise them in a way that glorifies Him, and that my children grow to Love Him, fear him, and earn to change their generation for his glory.

Mother's Day 2011

How blessed I am to get to spend a Mother's Day with not only my husband and 3 children, but My Mother and my Grandmother. Most people hardly ever get to see their Mother as often as I do...I am blessed to have both so close to home, and super blessed to have such great ones.

K5 Mother's Day Tea

Today Joshua's class hosted a Mother's Day tea.
The kids served all the Mom's tea (or water) and cookies and then sang a few songs
for us :) The kids then showed us their Mother's Day creations including the portrait above...yes, that's me :)
It was so sweet, and you could tell the kids were so excited about doing it for us

Baby LOVES food!!

Grace gets SOO excited when we put her in the highchair, and especially excited when she see's a bowl of food, or her sippy cup.
She even get's excited when we are at the store and she see's us put baby food or forumula in the shopping cart!
I guess she will be just like her Mommy...(Food gets me excited :)

Sweet Lil Bubba

Joshua is such a good big brother. He has really learned to read very well this year!! The other night he pulled out his new Bible and read to Grace...it was truely a sweet moment for me :)

Grace has started crawling a little and is pulling up. I bought this keyboard last week at Rhea Lana's, so far it's not too annoying, however, it was the perfect item to entice Grace to pull up. We are in trouble now :)

Father/Son Fishing Trip

Today our church (Cross Church) had a Father/Son Fishing Trip.
Ryan and the boys had a blast...and even caught some fish!
I know this is one of those things that both boys will remember when they grow up.
I am so thankful for a husband that truely LOVES his children and wants to do things with them.
