We had such a GREAT day today!
We woke up around 10:00, missing the breakfast in the hotel.
We all got dressed and left the hotel around 12. We went straight to IHOP..we were starving!
After IHOP we went and did a little shopping and then we went to Cabela's, which is the most awesome outdoor store ever!
The Bass Pro Stores have NOTHING on this store!
We actually spent 2 hrs in Cabela's...and never saw anything twice.
It was an amazing store...the kids loved it!
When we left Cabela's it was really SNOWING outside!! It was beautiful. We straight over to the Legends (mall) and did a little more shopping and then went to T-Rex Cafe.
If you have kids, and you live driving distance to Kansas City...you have to bring them here. This was our second trip and it was just as amazing as the first time.

This year we did the same as last year and brought the kiddos to Kansas City after Christmas. We had such a good time last year that we really wanted to come back.
We just got here today (Fri) and we won't be back home until Monday.
What we really enjoy here in KC is a place in West KC, Kansas called the Legends.
This is a HUGE outdoor mall that has TONS of great stores and TONS of great restaurants, including T-Rex Cafe and Dave and Busters.
Tonight we did a lot of shopping and then we went to Dave and Busters for dinner.
We had soo much fun and the food was so wonderful.

It's almost Christmas...and we are soo excited.
All the presents are wrapped and even the Santa cookies are baked and ready for the kids to lay them out at bedtime.
Tonight we went to the Christmas Eve Candlelight service at church and then we went over to my Mom's for our traditional Christmas Eve snack/supper.
Here is a pic from the candlelight service....it was kinda hard to take a pic in the dark...this is NOT one of my strong points in photography.
I have been told how to...I'm just not that savy yet :)

Yesterday was Christian's 1st grade Christmas Party and last day of school till January!

This wonderful little boy cracks me up...he is just such a sweetheart all the time.
I took these pics on 2 different days, but I thought they were truely post-worthy so here ya go...I can't believe this little one will be 4 in March....boohoo.
Now..this is the most adorable picture to me.
Last time we were at Wal-Mart he wanted to show me this "shaky truck" in the toy dept. that he wants for Christmas. So we went over and strolled through the dept. We came up to the aisle that had all the ELMO stuff (which he loves). He had never seen the ELMO Live before so he stopped and played with it.
Well...for those of you that don't know...this ELMO Live is very animated. Josh just loves it. Anyways...one of the things it does is - Elmo sticks his head out and kisses (noise and all). Well...Joshua being the sweety he is, sticks his head right into the box for a little up close kissy. It was sooooo cute. He just laughed and laughed. Too bad I already bought all their Christmas! This is not something I can just pick up as an extra gift...this little Elmo is $65!!
Oh well...we can always visit Elmo for free at Wal-Mart, plus Joshua's b-day is just around the corner :)

I am now in my 16th hour at work today, and I am feeling it.
I actually have a little down time right now so I am blogging, checking email...ect :)
Today has been a CRAZY day...I spent 2 hrs with a little baby that was impossible to get labs on. The baby was screaming, the mom was in tears, and I was doing both...haha. The winter season makes the hospitals CRAZY. All the flu, RSV and such that little kids get...it's just too much sometimes.
I'm pretty certain that I DON'T want to concentrate in pediatric nursing!!
Anyways...almost through with the Christmas shopping..only 4 more gifts to go and I am all done...woohoo.
I made reservations yesterday for our trip to KC. We are taking the boys to TRex Cafe again, they are SOO excited! We are staying 2 nights in KC.
We will probably go to Dave and Busters too, since it is right next door to TREX cafe. There are so many fun things to do in KC..so who knows what all we will do :)
Then we are going through Branson on the way home (kinda the long way home) and staying a night there. It will be fun...can't wait.
It will kinda be my last HOO-Raw before school starts :)
I got a letter from the school in the mail with the list of book that I will need to buy for my FIRST sememster!!
The total adds up to 800.00...just for the books. It hurts to even type that number! That's not tuition, or fees or anything else, just books.

Tonight at work (at Washington Regional) we had a little Christmas party. The REAL party was tonight at my bosses house, so all the people that had to be at work during the party decieded to have a little party of our own tonight here at work.

I got in to Nursing school!!!
I am soo excited, I am just thrilled.
When I got the news I started crying I was so happy and the boys looked at me...they just didn't understand!
Christian said " Mom...are you happy or sad". It was soo cute.
Anyways. I start in Jan...so that is when the hard part really starts.
Keep me in your prayers...I will def be needing them. It's been A LONG time since this girl has studied!!
LONG story short, I still don't know about school yet.
Surely it will be Monday or Tues....surely...
This morning after breakfast me and the kiddos made our Christmas lists to give to Santa.
Christian and Joshua will be excited when they found out Santa got them exactly what they wanted (thanks Mimi...haha)
We plan on taking the boys soon to see Santa at the mall.

I still didn't recieve my letter of acceptance/denial in the mail today. I was for sure it would come.
I called the school and they said that they are mailing out all the letters tomorrow...so I will hopefully have it on Thursday....
I can't wait.

I am sleep deprived (I didn't get home until midnight, and here I am at work at 4:45 am this morning...) AHHH....
It snowed all night, but thankfully the roads were great, I was a little worried.
And, on top of that, I find out THIS either today or tomorrow whether I got into nursing school or not...I am so nervous.
It is totally in God's hands, ofcourse, but it is just hard not to be a little nervous over it.
You will all hear me scream if I get in :) ...no need to post the results...haha.
I am working 17 hours today...so I should be nice and tired for my day off tomorrow :)
Hopefully it will be a day of celebration though!!
We are in the process of getting all the Christmas deco out, and I am just loving it. Christmas music all around the house ( I love Christmas music!!) Anyways..my grandmother had an extra tree in her attic so I took it home and we decieded to let the boys have their own tree in the their playroom. We let the boys make thier own homeade decorations/ornaments...and they turned out super cute. We aren't quite done yet, but here is what it looks like so far.

Anyways...this week Christian only has school on Monday and Tuesday and Joshua is out all week. I am off Tues-Fri, so we will have a pretty nice week! I am hoping to make lots of Christmas crafts with the boys this week...because the day after Christmas if Full of Shopping and PUTTING UP CHRISTMAS STUFF...WOOHOO!

IT'S ALMOST BLACK FRIDAY...WOOOOHOOOO!I am one of the crazy shoppers that make it on the 5:00 news the day after thanksgiving. A crazy mom that is out at 3:00 am to stand in line for cheap items for Christmas...or better yet, just for NOW...haha
I keep tabs on the ads that come out before Thanksgiving on such websites as blackfriday.com, ect.
I love every minute (or hour..haha) of waiting. And watching all the crazies (I realize I am one of them) that are out to get all the stuff we really could do without :)
I can bearly wait to see the ads come out on Thansgiving....

This was Saturday night at my house....I took the night off and we bought purses..woohoo...Happy Birthday to Me!!
Today was my 29th birthday.
I actually went to work today...which was a bummer...who wants to get up at 4am on their birthday??!!
Anyways, after work I did a little shopping while Ryan picked up the kiddos and then we went to my Mimows house for dinner.
Mimow fixed my favorite, Chicken and Spaghetti, corn, rolls and frozen fruit salad. Mom made my favorite pie..Strawberry Cheesecake (she calls it Renae's Double Cheesecake Strawberry Supreme)

It was all soo yummy, and I gained 10 lbs :)
Present wise...Ryan and the boys got me a case for my new laptop (that I haven't wrote about..wooohoo) and a CD.
Mimow got me a gift card to Gordmans...the greatest store ever. I plan on spending it in the morning.
And Mom and Pat bought me the coooolest new gadget. It is a Pocket (or purse sized) digital photo album. It is AWESOME!!!!
I attached a pic of it (along with the new laptop)....It's super awesome..I never even heard of something this small and wonderful.
Everyone (atleast every mom needs one) It's the coolest brag book ever!!!

This year's Halloween was a blast. The kids helped me decorate the outside of the house - which was a lot of fun.
This year we trick-or-treated at First Baptist Lowell - where we always go. They have such a great event every year.
My brother Michael borrowed a costume from Rryan (his zoot suit) and added a little spice with a scary mask...quite a interesting mix :)
The kids loved being pirates and for some reason Ryan and I decieded to join in on the fun and dress up too. I wasn't really prepared so I just go some bunny ears and a tale and little pink boa. (and I painted my face with eye liner :)
Ryan got soo many comments on his ghost buster costume....all the grown ups really liked it:)
The kids got TONS of candy...they were sooo excited.
It was a really fun time....
I sitting here in Tulsa....blogging is the best thing I have to do right now :)
I am on another trip (corporate health screenings)
We just got here in Tulsa today and will only be here till tomorrow.
It's kinda nice to sit here and just do what I want to do....(until the morning)
I think every Mom should get to do this every once in a while...even if you have to work a little while your gone :)
I get handed cash for all my meals and get put up in a nice hotel....really, this is awesome!!
Yesterday I went and turned in my application for nursing school.
Yep...I have offically applied.
Only 50 students are chosen, and if chosen, classes start in January.
Tuesday I have to go take the NET test (Nursing Entrance Test)
I have not really worked all the kinks out with wondering what I will do with the boys or work...I am just leaving it all in God's hand.
I know that if I just pray about it, if I am chosen as one of the 50, God will work out everything else perfectly. So I'm not stressing.
