Frantic Friday

I have spent most of my day today trying to find an outfit for tomorrow. Ryan and I have a New Year's Eve party to go to and it is a dress up party.
I have bought shoes so far....that is always easy. :)
I just need to find a great shirt!! We are getting back out as soon as Joshua takes a nap.
Ryan and I are excited about getting some alone time together. It should really be a fun party.

Christmas 2005

This year we had a good Christmas. We got to spend time with both sides of the family, which was good for the kids. We left for Amarillo, TX Friday morning and stayed until Christmas afternoon. We had Christmas with my family at my house Monday. The kids must have thought it was cool to have 2 Christmas'!
My dad is here for Christmas, and he thinks we now have enough toys to open a private daycare!!! I belive it! Oh well...they are only little once.

The kids got everything and anything they could have ever wanted.....and I am thankful that we could give them a nice Christmas.

Needless to say....we are still cleaning up the mess from Christmas....hehe. (REALLY!!!)

Dad is staying until Thursday, and Ryan is off until then too....the next couple of days will be nice!

He has a lot to say

Joshua began to talk a while back. He says all the normal things like, Dada, MaMa and Bubba (well that might not be normal in the North..hehe). But he has recently learned how to do a new trick with his lips and voice. BL-BL-BL-BL. He likes to make that noise with his lips (you know?)
He does it everywhere...all the time. It is soo cute.
I posted a pic below of him doing it. He was eating breakfast....and I guess he was commenting on how good the waffles were!!

Last minute shoppers

We are really last minute shoppers! We always wait till the last minute to start buying gifts. We have the kids presents bought....but we don't have anyone else anything.
We went to the mall tonight....boy....talk about a crowd! Maybe one year we will learn to shop early, it's not like we don't know Christmas is coming!

Mom's Club Christmas Party

Saturday night was the Mom's Club Christmas Party. We ate pizza, made Reindeer food, played games and had a visit from Santa!!

Ryan played the part of Santa. (he wansn't very excited about doing it...but he did a good job)

Our first snow

Today (or I guess really last night) we got our first snow. It is really pretty and Christian thinks it is soo cool. His first reaction was "I want to throw a snow ball!"

The temperature is just freezing here!!! (well, duh, it does have to be pretty cold to snow!)

Thursday night it is supposed to get to around 6 degrees!! Ahhh!!!

We are going to brave getting out today and go to the mall.

Today was a fun and interesting day. We started off going up to Ryan's office earlier this morning and just hanging out there for a little while. Then we went and grabbed a bite for lunch.
Ryan kept Christian and Joshua and I went to Wal-Greens. While we were there I noticed there was a radio channel broadcasting from the Wal-Greens parking lot. Being the nosy person that I am...I went and ask what was going on. They had one of those machines you stand in and they turn on the air and tickets fly all around you while you try to catch them. Well...I did it. But all I won was 2 free movie tickets and a 6-pack of Dr. Pepper's!! I called Ryan for him to come do it...and he won the same thing!!! :) Oh well..worth a try.

Anyways, Christian's music class Open House was tonight. We had alot of fun. I posted pics below.
Tomorrow we are going to brave the snow and go to the mall. I have to pick up a Santa's costume for Ryan to wear this weekend. We are having our MOM"s Club Christmas party and Ryan is Santa!

Open House for Christian's Music Class

Tonight was Open House for Christian's Music Class. They just finished up the semester and they wanted to fill in the parents on what they have learned. Ryan and I were sooo excited to see that Christian learned all about (and really understood) different kinds of notes (quarter notes, half notes) different music symbols like rests and the staff. He amazes us how he remembers these things and actually knows what they mean! I guess he gets his love for music from his dad (Ryan went to college on a band scholorship). So anyways, we really had fun tonight watching and hearing all about what they have been learning the last few months.
