Park day

Today we went to Murphy Park with the MOMS club. We had lots of kids/parents show up!
We played on the play equipment, blew bubbles, feed the ducks, played soccer and painted the sidewalks with sidewalk chalk!
The kids had a blast!
Then, because the weather turned on us, we headed over to McDonald's for a little more play.
Christian and Joshua both got REAL dirty...but oh well, they are boys.

The funniest thing happened this morning. Christian asked to have some ham for breakfast, so I ask him if he would like some cheesy eggs and toast too. He said sure, so I fixed it for him. Well, I fixed Joshua a waffle in the meantime and gave it too him.
When I handed Christian his big plate of "good" breakfast, Joshua started looking at his waffle a whole new way. His facial expressions (and the way he looked at his food) were hilarious. You could tell his was thinking "hey...why do I get this, and he gets that!!"

Today we had a MOMS club meeting. After that we came home....just to leave again. Ryan came home and wanted pizza, so we went to eat Pizza for lunch.
After that, we came back home and put Joshy down for his nap. I left again around 5:30 to go up to the chuch to keep the nursery. We didn't get home till around 8:00. Busy day...but I got some cute pics. I posted them below.
Tomorrow I am taking the kids to get their pics made together. They are going to be the "old timey black and whites". The kids will have antique clothes and everything on....I will post them when I get them back.

I love this pic below. While Christian and Joshy were playing with the box, Christian just leaned over and hugged Joshua. What a heart-filled moment for me. :)

Today I registered Christian for MDO. He will be 4 this August and I really want to get him ready for Kindegarten, which he will start in August of 2007.
This class will be great for him. They call it a Kindegarten Prep class and he should be totally ready for Kindegarten in 2007. I am excited because he is excited. He will enjoy the learning and meeting new people.
I guess this is the first step to loosing him......boo hooooo. :(
I guess I have to let him grow up :)

Anyways, after that we came home and let Joshua catch a nap, then we met some friends at the park.
Tonight we had one of my most favorite dinners. Fried Chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy and corn on the cob. What a southern dinner! Ahhh.....it is sooo good.
I am going to "attempt" to start working out tonight. I only have 6 weeks and a couple of days till vacation. I need to "tighten up" a little before I wear a swimsuit :) (yuk)
Tomorrow I have a MOMS club meeting and that's it. :)

Friday, March 24

Today I took the boys to Chick-fil-a for lunch and so they could play - Christian loves their play land. (Joshua enjoyed it too!)
After that we went to the library and checked out about a million books. :)
I even checked out 2! (cooking/recipe books)
Then we went to my mom's house for a couple of hours until Ryan got off work.
Tonight I am sorta bored because Ryan is all into this "March Madness" crap...oh well...it's almost over.
Post more tomorrow.

Burrrrrrrr.......

Burrrrr....it is cold here! It has been in the 30's all day today.
We really had to bundle up the kids to take Joshy to the cardiologist.

The results are: He still has a murmur....but that is okay. It is very small and is not putting ANY stress on his heart. We will not have to go back to the cardiologist until he turns 4. If he still has the murmur at age 4, he will probably keep it for life. We are are optimistic that that will happen, but if not, that is okay. He he completely normal and has NO limitations in life, so it is fine.

After the cardio appt. we went to the mall and played in the play area.
I just put the kiddos in bed (8:00) and I am fixing to watch a movie and bake some brownies...yummy.

Yes...today I am a settled, more calm Renae. Ryan made it home yesterday from Texas. (thank you Lord!)
I feel like a weight has been removed from my shoulders. Isn't funny how dependent I am on him? (I personally think it's okay, that's why we have husbands...right?)
Today has been nice. Ryan came home for lunch and then we went out a did a little running around town (return videos, post office, ect.) I am making a scrumptious dinner for him tonight. Baked talapia....yummy.

Tomorrow is Joshua's 1 year check-up with the cardiologist. Everyone can pray that the check-up will reveal that his hole has closed up....I feel very optimistic about it. I know tons of people have prayed for him over the last year, and I know that God healed him.
I will update you on that tomorrow :)

I'm Ready HUNNY!!!

Okay...so it's not like I didn't already appreciate Ryan, but NOW I really do! Especially on the weekends. I guess I didn't realize exactly HOW much he helps out with the kids. Yes...he might just sit in his recliner all weekend watching ESPN, but atleast I can leave 1 kid with him while I run to the store!!

Today I needed to do some grocery shopping. So I went to SAM's, Wal-Mart and then Marvins (to rent some videos). WOW...my kids drove me crazy the entire time. "Mommy can I have this", "Mommy look at that funny lady", "Mommy I don't want to ride in the buggy", Mommy can I have the industrial size tub of fruit snacks?".

It's almost a joke that they make buggies for more than 1 kid. I think they purposely do that so they can have something to laugh at! Can anyone successfully, with no fussing and no handcuffs take more than 1 kid to the store?
Maybe it's just me...is it?

So..needless to say, I am like a kid waiting for Christmas...I can't wait for him to get home :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Did you wear you green yesterday? I did...and so did the boys. Ryan forgot so I told the boys to pinch him...and they thought that was great. :)

Ryan left to go down to Texarkana for the weekend. (to visit some old friends).
I left the kiddos with Mom and Pat last night while I went out with some friends. We had a blast. We all wore our green. There were soo many people out! It is fun to get out every once in while without the husband or kiddos. :)

I ended up spending the night at Mom and Pat's house since the kids were asleep when
I got back. It has been a LONG time since I slept on a couch!!!

Today we probably wont do much. I probably will be bored with Ryan out of town...what do I do without him? Clean?? I don't think so.

Today we finger painted with the MOMS club (it ended up being more like hand painting..it was all over them).
Then because it was such a beautiful day, I took the boys to the park. Joshua got his fist ride in a swing (which he loved) and Christian really enjoyed feeding the ducks.
