Winter Storm 2009

The ice has hit us!! The Burt family and over 100,000 others in this region are without electricty.
We lost power Tuesday at 10:15 am. Still no power.
We made a little trip to Mimow and Papow's for a hot shower and she made us a wonderful hot lunch. Thank you Mimow and Papow!
(and ofcourse I got on the internet to post this....)
I don't really foresee us going back to school this week...we shall see.

Re-newing the Driver's License...yuk

I had to renew my driver's license today. It actually expired on my birthday which was in November...but I forgot.
Thankfully they didn't charge me any kind of penalty's.
I hate getting my driver's license renewed...I think I really
just hate getting my picture made and being stuck with it
for 4 years.
I was soo happy with my last picture, I wish I could have kept it. But they wouldn't let me... oh well.
So....atleast my picture didn't resemble these...haha.

I'm SOOO tired

Yesterday was just too much.
I had to be at school at 8:00 and had class till 4:00, then I went straight to work and worked till 10:00 then went home and studied till 12:00 because ofcourse...I have ANOTHER test today.
I was sooo tired when the alarm went off at 6:15 this morning, I didn't even get out of bed till 7:00. So needless to say, I hit the ground running. And ofcourse was about 5 minutes late to class this morning. :( oh well...she was fine with it.
It's 10:00 now and I am just sitting here in the library facebooking...and blogging :)
I should be studying, but I am giving myself a little break, I need it.
I have a test at 12:00...pray for me!
Thankfully, no tests tomorrow...so I can actually go home and relax tonight..woohoo!

Back to the old grind.....

Back in school this week....already had 2 test. Yuk.
It has been freezing this week (like in the 20s)
I walk from one building to the next like I'm on fire..haha

Blogging from Denton

Hello from Denton, Texas!!
Today we traveled to Denton because Ryan's sister (Mykala) is getting married tomorrow. Joshua is actually going to be the ring bearer..so I will be sure to post pics..he is SOOO cute in his little tux.

My first week of school went fine...hard but fine.
In my first week I already had 3 tests...they were soo hard.
I actually had to study every night for about 4 hrs solid every night after the kiddos went to sleep.
Thank the Lord I have made to A's and 1 B. I am disgusted about the B..but I happy it is passing.
I have another big test on Wednesday and Thursday....keep me in your prayers!!

I will post pics tomorrow night of the wedding.

I'm sooo excited!!

Ryan got 4 tickets for the Wizard of Oz performance at the Walton Arts Center through his work!! (and it didn't cost us a dime!)
I really wanted to take the boys but the tickets were soo expensive.
This performance is straight off broadway...I know it will be wonderful! Are tickets are for the 8pm show though...I hope the kiddos dont fall asleep!

I just got SOME of my books in the mail!!

I ordered some of my books through AMAZON.com, I just recieved them today.
I can barely wait to look through them :)
I still have to get 4 more books.
I am still looking for a good deal, and then there is one that I have to buy from the school because apparently the teacher wrote it..yikes.

I'm official

I'm all registerd, I got my cool student ID (yuk) and I even bought a backpack today....
I met alot of the students today and everyone seemed really cool.
One thing that I noticed today while registering is when we all graduate
the "class picture" is of all the student wearing their uniform and all the girls
have to wear one of those dorky nursing hats...how old school.
Oh well...I probably will be beeming in my little white hat, that seems
like forever away :)
Orientation is Friday....I can't wait :)

The boys start school tomorrow...and I register for classes.
Yipee...
I am going to try to get the Christmas deco down tomorrow.
I won't leave it up to Valentines day, like we did last year..haha

10 days and counting....

OMG! 10 days till this momma goes back to school...Yikes!
I find my self saying the weirdest things like...I need a backpack...seriously, I'm almost 30, that just doesnt sound right..haha.
I actually go to register for my classes this coming Monday (5th) and then I have new student orientation on Friday, and then classes start Monday!

So next week will be kinda hectic...Christian and Joshua go back to school this Monday, which is good. I am kinda tired of watching Nick and the diego train is officially out of batteries...so that is GOD saying...go back to school! HAHA!

I will post more soon...I need to take some more pics of the boys with all their new Chritmas stuff :)

We've almost been home a week now..and I am just now getting around to posting more pics.
We had SUCH a great time in Kansas City, I can't wait till our next trip.
Seriously....if you need something to do on a weekend, drive to Kansas City, KS (the West side) and find the Legends.

There is sooo many great shops and restaurants and then Cabelas is right next door to the mall.
And in the summer, the Kansas City Speedway is also right next door!
