Today it starting snowing around 10:00....it is so beautiful. It is still snowing (it's 6:51pm). I hope it snows all night long....It's been FREEZING here the last couple of days. It's been in the low 20's today.
I'll take pics in the morning and post. Maybe me and the kids will get to build something??!! I'm making snowman plans already.... :)

Hello all...
The cold bugs invaded my body...but today I am up (well yesterday too) feeling better and glad to be out of the bed.
I have been on my antibiotics for 4 days now, so I should be feeling better!!!

Renae wanted me to post so everyone would know where she is/why she is not posting.
Renae has strep throat AND bronchitis. She is feeling pretty bad and will probably be in bed in for a while. She went to the doctor last night and they have got her and some pretty good drugs so hopefully it will knock the sickness out.

Last night I hosted a Girls Night Out here at the house. There were 16 girls here...it was a ton of fun. The last girl didn't leave until 2:00am!
I fixed taco, quesadillas, cheese dip and chips, salsa and some taquitos. For dessert I made soome chocolate covered strawberries. (yummy)
We had the most fun and we actually planned to get together again in April!

Hello all..
Today I kept Christian home from school because he didn't sleep well last night. We got home late last night (had to work at the church) and he just couldn't sleep. He had bad dreams, aching legs, the whole deal. So...he didn't get to sleep till around midnight. I knew he would be shot...so I kept him home (or with me today)
Joshy had his first dental appt. today. Everything went well and he didn't cry...I was sorta shocked. They said everything lookes great!!
Then we went over to one of my friends house and spent some time letting the kids play.
Ryan is still not back, but should be home sometime tonight.
Tomorrow night I am having "girls night" at my house. Ryan and the boys are going to go do something together and there will be about 17 girls here....I am sorta excited!
We are going to eat Mexican food and just gossip..I'm sure. (hehe)
Anyways...I will post pics of my "girl night" tomorrow. And hopefully I can get some good ones of the boys tomorrow too!!

Tonight Ryan and I booked and paid for our airfare!!
We got a REALLY good deal on flights to Miami from our dinky airport here in NWA!!
We leave the grounds of NWA June 15th at 9:45 am!! So exciting!!
There is a good reason why people don't bet on the weather. And there is a reason why they call it a "Weather Prediction".
People were going stir crazy on what they "thought" was going to happen this weekend. Yes, some areas got hit hard with ice/sleet, but then there are some areas that got nothing.
We are just NOW seeing sleet (Sunday 10:00 pm) Maybe we will finally see some of that crazy winter weather they were calling for??!!
The high is supposed to be like 24 degrees tomorrow.......woooo...that is defineltly a stay-at-home day for us!!
Ryan is supposed to go to Kansas City after lunch and will be gone for 2 days......I hope either the weather gets better, or the trip is cancelled.
Pray for him incase he goes!!
Ryan and I tried this new Recipe the other night....and it was FABULOUS!

Feta and Bacon Stuffed Chicken
8 tbls. olive oil
2 tsp. lemon juice
4 cloves crushed garlic
1 tblsp. dried oregano
salt and pepper to taste
4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
4 slices of feta cheese (I used wayyy more) **I used the Basil & Tomato Feta**
4 slices of cooked, and drained bacon (I used wayyy more)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In small bowl - combine oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, salt and pepper. Mix together.
Stuff chicken (almost cut breast in half..but not quite (stuff them) with cheese and bacon.
Pour oil mixture into 9 inch round pan, place "stuffed" chicken in oil mixture.
Bake uncovered at 350 for 30-35 minutes.
Today we played around with my camera, it offers a lot of features that my old one didn't. You can actually edit the photo from the camera. You can TAKE pictures in B&W, Sephia, and all other different kinds of ways. You can put borders around it...all kinds of cool things, and that is without even getting on the computer...just from my camera.
I know....I am behind the times...camera's probably have been doing that for a while....but oh well, I think it is cool

Ryan has put me on a HORIFFIC budget. He is being quite the penny pincher these days.
We FINALLY took my grandmothers advice and got us on a budget. Little did I know that it would be "LIFE CHANGING!!"
I know it will be tough for a while getting used to not blowing money on whatever comes our way....but I know it will be worth it....
And since it is working out so well.........here are a few surprises!

Ryan is taking me on another vacation this summer....and oh yes, it is another cruise!!
We got the most fabulous deal on a vacation and airfare!!
We are going with a couple of our friends, so it will be a hoot!
Here is where we are going: Miami, The Bahamas, St. Thomas, San Juan Pert Rico and Grand Turk! We are very excited. We leave for Miami on June 1st. Woo hoo!!
The reason he decided to do it now, instead of wait is because....and here is another BIG SURPRISE.....
We are thinking about trying to have another baby next summer (summer of 2008) (have the baby in 2009).
So we will be sitting the next 2 summers out. (maybe....if we definitely deceide)

I can completly say that I was a "dufas" when I was 19...not a care in the world except .....boys. Ummm....look what I could have been doing instead.
I was reading one of my good friend's daughters blog...and this is what she wrote: (remember...only 19!!)
So I read the story of Jacob and Esau the other day, and God gave me a whole different view of it. So much more than just a story (as pretty much everything in the Bible is, we just have to ask God to open our eyes to what He's really telling us)...Esau sold his birthright..his rich and glorious inheritance (and it was definitely glorious..God blessed Abraham with abundant riches!)...for a bowl of soup!!! It sounds so silly, but haven't I done the very same thing in my life by giving up my heavenly, eternal inheritance to satisfy my own worldy, temporary hunger? Definitely. Is it ever worth it? Never. That kind of hunger will never be satisfied...it always wants more. Pure desire for Christ will always be met and fulfilled...He is longing to do that for us.
Matthew 22:11-14"But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. 'Friend,' he asked, 'how did you get in here without wedding clothes?' The man was speechless. Then the king told the attendants, 'Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'For many are invited, but few are chosen."
This comes from the parable of the wedding banquet...you know, when no one comes to the king's wedding banquet, so he tells his servant to go invite random people off the street, and the rooms are filled. But these verses are what I had to think about...yes, our Father invites everyone to feast at his heavenly table and loves each and every guest with undeserved compassion. But we have to prepare ourselves. When we accept His invitation, the holiness we are soon to enter into requires us to get ready...not to make ourselves "good enough" by our own efforts or standarnds, but to put on our "wedding clothes" (His blood that redeemed us, the armor He gives us, His Holy Spirit...) and present ourselves, not as mere guests, but as the very Bride of Christ.
Oh, so much to learn....

Got a release from the cardiologist saying Joshua's heart murmur was small enough not to be "treated" or even looked further into. (praise the Lord!)
Joshua started walking & Joshua had his first birthday!
Me and Ryan got to go on the most fabulous vacation (our cruise in May)
I have personally made several new friends that have become some of my best friends.
Ryan continues to do well in his job and we are thankful for that!
Christian turned 4 this year!
Christian started school, and praise God, we have been able to send him to Shiloh Christian School.
I got a new car ( now I have a car that runs and looks pretty!! haha)
We got a visit from my brother (Air Force) and his family!
I got a part-time job at the church - which may turn into something very promising in the future.
Christian can write his whole name...and spell it outloud. He does very well in his schooling.....looks like he will follow in his Daddies footsteps (Ryan was Valedictorian of his class and got a full ride to college)
Last but not least..Another awesome year of family time. We have the most wonderful family ever...and another day with family is the greatest treasure of the year.
I am sure I have forgotten several highlights of the year, but I guess these came to mind first. A very nice, very blessed year for the Burt Family.
We look forward to what we KNOW God will do for our family in 2007.
