Every night when I put the kiddos in bed we always talk about the day that we have had and we read ect. Before lights out we always pray. I pray with Christian at his bed, and then go to Joshua's bed and pray with him. Sometimes I pray, sometimes they pray..we just kinda take turns. The kids really like it, and I am so thankful that they do. Even when we are late getting them to bed and we are trying to hurry, they never forget to say.."Momma, can you pray with me."
Anyways...before prayer last night, Christian began to tell me about his day and started playing with his hands telling me he could make a steeple with people. I really thought he was just going to do the thing (here's the church, here's the steeple...look inside and see all the people....you know what we all kinda learned while we were little)
NO!! My little Christian proceeds to tell me that he is making a temple. And he then talkes about the ark of the convenant inside the temple and about Samuel- being inside the temple.
And then he tells me about the ark of the convenant and what is holds inside and all this stuff.
I am just sitting there and I am just dumbfounded....
Is my 6 year old really telling me this?
I was like....oh my gosh Christian...you are amazing.
I thinking if you would have told ME that (mind you that I DID attend Christian schools)
I would surely not have absorbed it at all!
SO..I am just feeling so blessed. What a blessing Shiloh has been to our family.
Not that he couldn't have learned and absorbed all of this knowedge through home bible study and church. I am just thanking God for the ablity to give him more.....
In this day and time I think it so important that our kids hear the gospel as much as possible, but I do remember that it is ULTIMATLY my responsibilty to raise him according God's will and under his plan.
I know that we are coverd in prayer daily.....and I just thank God for all his blessings.
I got back from OK City yesterday. It was really alot of fun.
We actually travled all over Central OK and I got to see alot....alot of flat land that is :)
We did go to Norman though....and ate at the BEST mexican restaurant, it was so yummy.
Really the only thing I could think of while we were in Norman is...."I wonder what these people would do if I stood up and started calling the HOGS?" :)

Anyways..it was nice to travel and eat at great restaurants and then return to a great hotel
with nothing better to do than watch tv and relax :)
However...I am soo glad to be back! I missed my family so much...but it was very nice to relax.
I think I will probably sign up to go out with them again every couple of months or so......Christmas is coming up so extra money is always nice.
PLUS...I am really ready to buy a new car. I'm just feeling the need to go into major debt... :)
I plan on buying something before Christmas for sure...and I am excited about it.
So I was offered a pretty neat opp. last week.
A man called me (who had been given my name by one of my co-workers)
offering me a job to be part of a traveling corporate wellness team.
This team is hired by companies to do corporate wellness screenings for their company (as a perk for their employees)
The job pays well and pays for everything while traveling (gas if you don't car pool, all your food, hotels, ect) ++++ PAYING ME FOR MY TIME, which is pretty good too :)
So...next week I am leaving on my first trip to Oklahoma City. We are doing a screening for Arvest Bank in OK City. We are leaving Monday, our screenings are Tues, Wed and Thurs and we will travel home Thurs afternoon.
Basically we have stations setup - height,weigh, blood pressure, glucose testing, ect, body fat %, ect, ect. We also offer free blood tests to those who would like to recieve them. The test results are mailed back to them, all free of charge to them (it's paid for by their employer)
Anyways..I am pretty excited. It is something I can do whenever it comes up, I choose whether or not I want to. It is not something I have to do. I just choose the dates I want to work.
I think it will be fun...I will let you know how it goes :)
How do I even express in words how you have changed my life? You have both been such a BIG part of my life and I so happy to say that there has never been a time in my life where you both were not involved. As far as I can remember you both have been right by my side, and even if you weren't within driving distance, you were always on the phone with me, or sending me letters or e-mails. You both have been one of the biggest gifts from God that I have ever recieved. I hope you both realize what a great difference you have made in my life and how thankful I am that you have been involved in Christian and Joshua's life too. The kids do not even fully realize yet how wonderful you guys are, and I am so glad that they are getting the wonderful priveledge to grow up near you. You have always been so involved in their lives. From day one for both of the boys. Spoiling them rotten and just loving on them all the time.
But most of all, thank you for praying over my babies every day. I know that you both pray for my babies every day over their whole lives and that is just the best gift you could ever give them or me. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I just am so thankful for both of you and I am just thankful that God placed you in my life, what a wonderful gift he has given us all...the gift of you.
I love you both sooo much.

Mom, you have been addicted to my kids since the moment they left my womb.
You have been by my side any time I needed you, and you have loved my kids like they were your own (maybe a little better..haha) You have been so awesome to Christian and Joshua and I know that they love you so very much. Thank you for always helping me out with them when I need a sitter and for spoiling them rotten when you have them. I couldn't have ask for a better Mother, and I know they will say the same about their "Mimi".
Pat-Pat...get ready the camera is coming after you...I looked through 2 years of blogs and you are MIA!! I need some pics of you and the kids man! But seriously, you have just been so awesome to the kids. Your like a big kid with all your Scooby Stuff and Twinkies....haha. The boys love you so much and you have been the best Pat-Pat from day 1. Thank you for loving my kids the way you do, I know they are just so in love with you too.
