First day of Spring Break

Today we went with some friends to the Jones Center. We played on the playground, strolled the garden and watched a fabulous concert by Gwendolyn and the Good Times Gang. (link below)
The first day of Spring Break was tons of fun. We have lots of fun things planned for the we week...tune in for lots of pics :)

Cooking with Mommy

Over the weekend, Me and the Boys made cookies. This was the first time I had ever let them help - it was a blast to watch. Joshua tried to eat the batter as he was stirring - it was just basically flour at the time (can you see the flour on his lips?) Both boys were very good helpers - and the cookies turned out EXTRA yummy.

Sorry it's been sooo long since my last post!
I have had several people ask me what's up!! (well...alot actually)

Ever feel like you just CAN'T get caught up? That is sorta how things have been lately. If it's not the laundry being behind it's the kitchen....always something.
Been extremely busy - been working alot more trying to save up for our trip in June. (although it is paid in full - we gotta have spending money!! :)

Today I am feeling : Blessed

Our pastor has been doing a series on High Defintion Families. It has been really great - each message has touched me.
Today was on the topic of Parenting (my favorite so far)
Not only did I learn alot about myself as a parent, but I learned alot about my family.
Today I feel so blessed and here is why: (in no certain order - and this is just a few reasons - there are really too many to name)

1. I was raised in a family where God was always taught.
2. I can never remember a time in my life where I didn't know about God.
3. My grandparents have a very strong influence on my children right now - and most kids don't even get to meet their great-grandparents - little alone have a great relationship with them!
4. My parents and Grandparents have prayed for me daily - prayed for my husband daily (even before I met him) and pray for my children daily.
5. I am so thankful that I have a relationship with Christ - I am thankful that my children are growing up in the word and that they already know that God loves them too - and how much our family depends on his love and provisions.
6. I am thankful for our Church - we have all grown in our faith since joining this church.
8. I am thankful to live in a country where I can teach my kids about God and not have to worry. (or atleast too much)
9. I am thankful that their are Christian schools - I love sending Christian to school knowing that he will be in the word. (no parent can have enough help)
10. I am thankful that God answers prayers - I know he will be with us and he will help us to raise these children for him - if we will just ask and stay in his will.

Happy Birthday My little Joshy

Today is Joshua's 2nd birthday.
I can hardly believe my little baby is 2. I got through the day a lot easier than I had imagined - I figured I would be in tears, but I have held it together. :)
This morning Joshy and I spent some time with friends (while Christian was in school) and after we picked up "Bubba" we headed to Chuck-E-Cheese for dinner. We gave Joshy his gifts from us (ryan and I and Christian's) so that he would actually get some things on his "actual" birthday.
I took tons of pics - I will post them tomorrow.
Joshy's party is Saturday here at the house - I think we will have lots of little friends coming to play - it should be real fun! We are doing a cowboy party and all the kids are supposed to come "dressed up". I know Joshy will have a blast to have all the kiddos over.

Happy Birthday my angel - you have made the last 2 years extra special for me, Daddy and "Bubba". We love you!!
